Denied Boarding for Cruise Ship

Hello Reader, A funny thing happened to me on my last cruise. Short story is they found a bullet in my backpack. I have travelled with my work backpack in the past and had no problems making it through security. Recently I put that keychain above in my backpack for the office and totally forgot to remove it for the cruise. At the terminal I am in line and my backpack enters the machine. The security agent stops the machine and looks at me. She repositions my backpack and scans it again. All I get from her is dirty looks. Then I realize what she is seeing. My heart sinks as I realize that I may be denied boarding. At this point I am THAT guy, the one that stops the boarding process for many in line behind me. The supervisor was called over and I was taken to more private area and asked to show him the device. I removed the bullet from the keychain and was allowed to board. I was told to retrieve my item after the cruise on a table outside the terminal. I did remember to go get my keychain. I saw all the items that had been confiscated for this cruise. Knives, hand steamers, other bullet keychains, a kids toy gun, and many other items. All cruise companies post a list of prohibited items on their website. Here is a pretty standard list from Royal Caribbean's website.
I would tell you to not follow my example, check everything before travelling. I was lucky that the security agent was understanding.
